Visual research and processes for "Now where? // 'Here for Now.'
Above: Visual research  exploring object narration, object permanence and lived spaces left behind as ‘negative space’. Trials include wax sculpture of milk carton, drawings, collages, latex experiments, compositional studies and experimentation on the metaphor of ‘negative space’. Research involved quantum tunneling, ‘a passing of information’ between barriers, like memories left in a space after someone has left, or visible under-layers of a painting shining through. All images 2024.

The body as something equally passive and active, equally subjective and objective. Images from 2023, 2024, 2025

Visual research for 'Channel'
Process before painting 'Channel' which started from words. Through a writing exercise these words were distilled and transformed into poetry, that then informed the sketch (bottom left), which in turn became the embroidery (bottom right), that was finally turned into the skirt seen above and in the painting. More information on the thought process and research behind can be found on the 'Channel' page
